I have an MA in Marriage and Family Therapy and have been practicing since 2011 working with individuals and families. I have a special interest in women's issues and relationships, faith questions, trauma, and empowering women to reach their full potential. I look at every situation systemically and, in my work, utilize Family Systems therapies, DBT, CBT, Lifespan Integration, mindfulness, and empowerment principles. I offer a safe and nurturing space to grow and move through the therapeutic process. I value the resilience of the human spirit and the intrinsic value of every human being. I feel privileged to walk through the change process with you and to be entrusted with your life story.

I also work with healing from trauma/abuse, family and relationship therapy, adoption and attachment issues, self-harm and suicidal ideation, depression and anxiety, and issues related to discrimination and systemic oppression of minority groups (race, gender, sexual orientation, etc.).

I am a Utah State approved MFT Supervisor.

I have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and am a Utah State approved MFT Supervisor. I’m a trauma-informed therapist with specialized training in Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, grief work, and Jungian Sand Tray and Sandplay techniques. My approach to therapy is grounded in compassion, respect, and autonomy. I have an unfailing belief that people are valuable and capable of learning new paths to 

better understand themselves and problem solve. I work to offer a safe and co-creative space to support the therapy process.

 

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of helping many individuals, couples, and families work through relationship issues, trauma, grief and loss, and other mental health challenges to improve their daily lives. I’ve also supported many couples and families dealing with child loss, faith transitions,  betrayal, and parenting issues. I am a lifelong learner and place a high value on humor and connection.

Associate Therapist

I have a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University. I work with individuals, teens, and kids. I love helping people navigate life’s challenges and find more enjoyment in life. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply in need of change I offer an empathetic environment where you can explore and grow without judgment.  I use evidence-based methods designed to empower and inspire lasting change.

 

I enjoy working with children and their families and helping them understand relationship dynamics. I use play therapy and sand tray techniques to help children express their feelings, manage emotions, and adjust to changes in life. I trained with a play therapist and hold two certifications in sand tray therapy.  In my work I use these methods: Child Centered Play Therapy; Directive Play Therapy; Sand Tray Therapy; CBT psychoeducation; and Mindfulness techniques.

When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my wife and dog.

My therapeutic style is rooted in empathy, respect, and mindfulness. I believe in meeting each person where they are, honoring their unique experiences and perspectives. By focusing on the whole person, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and goals with confidence and clarity. I also value the power of mindfulness in fostering personal growth and resilience. My approach incorporates mindfulness techniques to help clients develop greater self-awareness and cultivate a sense of inner peace. I believe the best avenue for change is through holistic and systemic modalities. To me, individuals need to be empowered to take control of their mental health.
 
The last 7 years I have spent working with teens, families, and homelessness populations in the nonprofit sector. In my free time I enjoy building workshops that help other helping professionals combat compassion fatigue. I enjoy the Utah outdoors and try to visit the nearby national parks yearly!
